Virgin Media Campus Tour

In September 2016, TITAN designed and executed a nationwide College Campus experiential to promote the new 30 day Broadband proposition to the student market.

Challenge

  • Build an activation that would engage the student population around Virgin Media’s 30 Day Broadband
  • Provide a fully branded bespoke Virgin Media activation to support the new broadband offer (fully wrapped Virgin Media ice-cream van)
  • Deliver FREE ice-creams to students whilst engaging them around the broadband offer and driving data capture
  • Create a fun environment for our brand ambassadors to engage with students and capture social content
  • Increase awareness and generate positive PR for Virgin Media’s 30 Day Broadband
  • Work in partnership with Virgin Media’s media agency OMD.

Responsibilities

  • Secure buy-in from selected venues (University College Cork, University of Limerick, University College Dublin & Dublin City University), engaging key contacts to organise activation at specific locations
  • Liaise with key governing bodies and gain relevant permissions for on-campus activations
  • Select & manage a promotional team that would deliver a high return in content & data capture as well as targeted consumer engagements
  • Manage all logistics in terms of delivery, set-up & take-down of activation at each location

Results

  • 500+ competition entries, 150,000+ total social reach
  • Delivered a bespoke activation promoting Virgin Media and its NEW 30 Day Broadband
  • Created curiosity & talkability around Virgin Media’s 30 Day Broadband
  • Brand awareness for Virgin Media 30 Day Broadband amongst key target audience
  • Positive PR for Virgin Media 30 Day Broadband resulting from on-campus activation
