Intro

TITAN worked with Ireland’s largest Triathlon Club, Pulse, to deliver their National Series Triathalon at Port Beach Co. Louth

Challenge

  • Take on the role of race director and manage all operational aspects of the event.
  • Identify new communication channels to maximise marketing spend for participant recruitment.
  • Increase event participation through a bespoke social media campaign.
  • Drive awareness and communicate ethos of Pulse Triathlon Club through social media & event day activation.
  • Manage event budget to ensure a profitable event.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and submit event management plan to governing body, Triathlon Ireland, for race sanctioning.
  • Organisation & coordination of race committee and roles.
  • Logistics / Planning / Scheduling for event & activations.
  • Provide dedicated Triathlon Ireland approved event controller.
  • Budget – Increase race profitability.
  • Secure National Series status for 2017.
  • Increase safety and monitoring controls.
  • Increase athlete participation levels.
  • Enhance athlete experience.

Results

  • First sell-out event since inception.
  • 10 pieces of bespoke content created for event recruitment through social media campaign.
  • Increased race profitability by 250%.
  • Introduced secondary and backup safety measures to deliver an incident free event.
  • Enhanced athlete experience with event activations & take home pack.
  • Secured National Series status and race sanctioning for 2017.
  • Only club triathlon in 2016 to provide drone footage of event.
  • Pulse Triathlon Club’s social media channels increased from 1,050 to 1,350 followers
